Deweese is a village in Clay County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 80 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Hastings, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2), all of it land.
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 80 people, 35 households, and 17 families residing in the village. The population density was 855.9 people per square mile (343.2/km²). There were 43 housing units at an average density of 460.0 per square mile (184.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.75% White, 1.25% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.25% of the population.
There were 35 households out of which 28.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.0% were married couples living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 48.6% were non-families. 42.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 25.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 3.22.
